Obituary of Syed Hameed Ahmed

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Syed Hameed Ahmed Sahib of Burlington Jama`at, who passed away on September 16, 2022 at the age of 83 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

Respected Syed Hameed Ahmed Sahib was a Musi. He was the son of Dr. Syed Shafi Ahmed Sahib Muhaqqiq Dehlvi (ra), a companion of the Promised Messiah (as). He served as Qazi Jama`at Islamabad from 1972-1975 and was appointed the first President of Jama`at Calgary by Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmed (rh). He was later appointed to the Qaza board of Canada by Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmed (rh) and served in this capacity of ten years. He had a deep love of Khilafat and was regular in the daily prayers. May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
